Learning the Correct Brainwave Techniques to Improve Behaviour
You may think that your brain determines your actions day in day out, and you'd be half right. Did you know that you have the ability to tell your brain what it should do so as to influence your actions in turn? Most of us go through life letting our subconscious mind dictate how we act and shape our mindsets. Everything that we do, think, and understand are actually products of your cerebral cortex and neurons in the brain sending specific messages in the form of electromagnetic pulses that affect everything that has to do with our psyche - how we perceive things, how we react to certain situations, etc. Feeling nervous before a presentation is the product of the horror stories of public speaking ingrained into your subconscious mind, which in turn results in an instinctual fear and nervousness as you stand before your audience. What if I told you that you can control your brain waves with specific traditional and scientific techniques - reprogram your subconscious mind to improve behaviour.
If you wanted to be brave, ambitious, be happier at all times, you can do this. All you have to do is to set your brainwaves to a frequency that slips you into a deep meditative state - a state where the subconscious is more pliable and can be changed. Religious people do this all the time, delving deep into a meditative relaxed state that allows them to transcend the self and achieve inner peace - even in the most hectic of situations. Sumo wrestlers in Japan achieve the same state to make their body forget about pain and control their anger during a brawl. Meditation and hypnosis is also a tried and true method practitioners use to reduce stress in peoples lives. Even doctors and the scientific community understand the potential of the mind and the potential of a changed mindset and attitude in the healing process. A happier and more optimistic person will always heal better because depression is one of the leading causes of physical depreciation.
An easy and effective way to achieve this deep meditative state is through the use of binaural beats - frequency engineered sounds introduced to the mind through music. The alternating frequencies are sculptured to induce a cortical response from the brain - basically what it does is to trigger a specific frequency response that is associated with the very brain waves that allows the mind to slip into a meditative state. Magnetic fields passed over the temporal and frontal lobe also do the same thing. Technology like the Shakti - headgear that introduces these very same magnetic fields to invoke a brain wave response.
There are various other methods that will allow you to achieve the same effect, both scientific and traditional/spiritual, but be warned, it is more difficult to achieve but the results have been said to be just as effective. Methods such as floatation tanks, soothing music, and yoga are just some of the more popular techniques many have tried to achieve a state of relaxation that can help them find inner peace.
Why take a chance on something that isn't as effective as a scientifically tried and tested method? If you're seeking to turn your life around by improving your behaviour, go for something scientifically proven. Be the captain of your own life and steer yourself to your own success - all by learning the correct brainwave techniques to improve behaviour.

Learning in Communities (Hardcover) $104.99 Most learning takes place in communities. People continually learn through their participation with others in everyday activities. Such learning is important in contemporary society because formal education cannot prepare people for a world that changes rapidly and continually. We need to live in learning communities. This volume gathers together all of the scholarly materials directly emanating from a workshop held in August 2005, when a multidisciplinary group of scholars met at Penn State`s College of Information Sciences and Technology to discuss ??learning in communities`. Initially, a sectioned report on the workshop was published as a special section in the Journal of Community Informatics in 2006. Subsequently, a special issue of 5 full papers was published in the Journal of Computer-Supported Cooperative Work, and a special section of 2 full papers was published in the International Journal of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning. This collection of papers is not the definitive summary of learning in communities. It is assuredly more prolegomena than coda. Learning is increasing recognized as a critical facet of lifetime activity, one that must become better integrated with all that people do. At the same time, community structures are increasingly recognized as a critical category of social organization - flexible and adaptable, capable of innovation and development, and yet just as strongly nurturing and supportive. The promise of learning in communities lies ahead of us. This set of essays hopes to propel us all along that path. |

Building Faculty Learning Communities (Paperback) $26.63 Changing our colleges and universities into learning institutions has become increasingly important at the same time it has become more difficult.  Faculty learning communities have proven to be effective for addressing institutional challenges, from preparing the faculty of the future and reinvigorating senior faculty, to implementing new courses, curricula, and campus initiatives on diversity and technology. The results of faculty learning community programs parallel for faculty members the results of student learning communities for students, such as retention, deeper learning, respect for other cultures, and greater civic participation.  The chapters in this issue of New Directions for Teaching and Learning describe from a practitioner`s perspective the history, development, implementation, and results of faculty learning communities across a wide range of institutions and purposes. Institutions are invited to use this volume to initiate faculty learning communities on their campuses.  This is the 97th issue of the quarterly journal New Directions for Teaching and Learning. |
