Should the American education system be reformed in order to be more the like the Japanese one?
America & Japan could not be more different in their ranking on education. Japan is currently ranked the most educated country on earth, and also the world’s leading innovator in technology.
America, in contrast, despite being an economic & military super-power is currently ranked 30th in education. Given how dangerous it is for a country as powerful as the U.S., to have such an uneducated and politically ignorant & idle population an overhaul of the current education system is extremely necessary

+ School funding not being based property values of neighbourhoods
+ A removal of standardized tests, which have been found to be classist and poor measurements in long-term college performance
I say do whatever! I love Japanese education and culture. One thing I love is respect. Teacher walks in, students stand up and greet, teacher greet, and they sit down. We also should have uniforms. American students are too busy focusing on fashion than education.
