I am learning ASL but there are somethings on a site I am learning from I dont quite understand?
MY school doesn’t offer the class to learn ASL so when I started watching Switched at Birth it made me wanna be able to do more then know the alphabet and certain phrases such as thank you, I love you, turtle, good morning, and a few others but I wanted to be able to construct real conversations with my hands. I would like to know if there are any deaf or even hearing people that would like to add me on Skype and cam with me in order for me to get a better idea of how things work. I would prefer a deaf person cause I feel they would also be able to also tell me some experiences of their life and interaction if ignorant hearing people. Also they would be able to teach me things about the deaf community that I don’t know. (Also almost anything you tell me about the deaf community would teach me something seeing how I just started learning online in my spare time about 4 weeks ago.) Thank you.
