Interesting question for all believers... most interesting.?
I'm gonna break this down in the most simpliest form I can. If you are already a good person and lead a good life, then why is it necessary to learn principles of good morality and such from someone when you've already learned it? Wouldn't it seem somewhat coercive/forceful/mean to push someone to believe in someone whenever his teachings are already instilled in you? It seems kinda ruly and dis-respectful. Yea, but that's the sole reason why Jesus exists ... TO teach morality and be a good person. if you have it, you don't need him. you should be given salvation without him.
We can never be good enough. Jesus died for us because of this. There is none good but God. We can have morals, do good deeds, love others, etc. but we will never be able to match the matchless name of Jesus. Therefore, we need Gods' Holy Spirit direction in our lives daily, and that can only come by accepting Jesus into our lives. :)
