First time using tampons ? Terrified! How long to use it for ?
Okay, i have been using tampons for a day or two now.
First i just needed it to go swimming, but now i decided to try to stick with them, because they are easier than pads.
I am very scared though that i will leave it in for too long.
I am not even worried about it being in too long and leaking, because i wear a thin pad anyways.
How long should i leave a regular obsorbancy tampon in for ?
I have been trying to change then every 2-3 hours, but with my schools bathroom pass policy [only 34 per marking period ... about 45 days] thats verrry hard, so i save up all my passes for that time of month.
But anyways, when i take the tampon out after 2-3 hours, i wouldnt say it HURTS, but its kinda uncomfortable, i guess it hurts a litttle.
Is this normal?
thanks so much guys !
I see that you have received some pretty good answers already , so i hope my two cents will help as well.
The reason you are feeling discomfort is because you are changing them too often or you are not inserting the tampon correctly ,and I have to agree never leave a tampon in more than 6 hours. So unless you don’t go straight home from school you should be safe. You also have to determine how your flow is …etc. light or heavy?
Also you can try tampax slender , they are smaller than the regular or light-days
