Air Canada 777 storage?
I was looking at seatguru.com and saw that on Air Canada’s new 777 300 and 200 jets, most coach seats have limited underseat storage because of an equipment box. Would I be able to fit small school backpack under my seat still? Would it be better to just put it in the overhead bin? How much room is really taken away? I’ve flown on their a319, a320, a321, E75, and E90 jets and have had no problems, but what about the 777s?
I’m flying a 777-200LR Toronto-Frankfurt, and a 777-300ER on the reaturn.
That equipment box is for their televisions in the seatback pockets. You will have enough room to put it under the seat. However, I’d recommend just putting it in the overhead bin if possible. Reason is if you’re taking a 777, then you’re flying some place at least 7 hours away! You can’t stretch your legs as much if you have a backpack in that seat in front of you. I’d just take what I will want during the flight out before I sit down, and keep that stuff in the seatback pocket.
